What is an Eco-Credit?
It is a combination of an investment loan and an EU subsidy. The company finances the investment with a bank loan, and BGK repays part of the principal in the form of an eco-bonus if the project generates at least 30% energy savings.
Who can apply?
Micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, as well as small and mid-cap companies operating in Poland. The condition is creditworthiness and obtaining a loan (or a promise) from one of the banks cooperating with BGK, including PKO BP, Pekao, Santander, mBank, ING, BNP Paribas, and BOŚ.
What investments can be financed?
- thermal modernization of buildings,
- modernization of machinery and technological lines,
- investments reducing energy consumption and CO₂ emissions.
How to increase the chances of a positive assessment of the application?
Entrepreneurs who successfully use similar programs recommend:
- conducting a thorough energy audit by experienced specialists,
- contacting the bank in advance to confirm creditworthiness,
- realistic estimation of the costs and effects of the planned investment,
- preparing complete documentation before the call for applications opens.
